Nobody’s Baby

In the Great Smoky Mountains, near Cherokee land, Nikki’s junior year of high school ends with an unchaperoned pool party that ends with her innocence in question. A guardian angel appears and guides Nikki through the dark forest of her mind and rescues her from being attacked and kidnapped. Torn between running away and ending it all, Nikki battles confusion and depression, but the teen soon finds faith and support with a catholic Cherokee family. Inspired to seek comfort in Mother Mary, Nikki feels a kinship with the Blessed Virgin, sees hope for the future, and no longer considers committing the unthinkable sin. Slowly, Nikki’s life takes on true meaning after she discovers a perfect flower blooming in the woods, and her good dreams become reality.
