Three passengers meet when their flight is diverted to Palm Beach Airport to wait out a storm.

Samantha Baker is drifting, still grieving the loss of her fiance Kip in a car accident that left her in a coma for five months. Samantha is headed to a monthlong house-sitting job in Fort Lauderdale.

Jamal Williams is a high school student from Freeport, New York. Jamal survived a canoe accident that killed his father when he was five years old. Now seventeen, Jamal is headed to Florida for a weekend visit with his mother.

After the flight, the three seat mates discover that their paths continue to intersect, in seemingly random encounters.
