The line of peaks known as the Nine Sisters is a landscape of Native American legend. Despite the historic changes brought by the Spanish, there is evidence that the local mission of San Luis Obispo was established in awareness of the region's sacred geography. Even stranger, modern power plants seem to purposely disrupt an ancient plan involving cosmic energies.
