A sociopath has no moral compass and a total lack of conscience. The message, from an extortionist, signing himself Claude, made it clear; one hundred million pounds by the eleventh hour, of the eleventh day, of the eleventh month or people would die. They did. In the sociopath’s twisted mind the city’s failure to meet his demand was justification for mass murder; he had been given no choice. The pressure was on to find him, before he killed again.
