The Church in the Postmodern World

American culture no longer wears its one-time patina of piety. Though the myth of progress still reigns, pluralism is the order of the day. What are the implications for today’s Church? Our call is to address our culture with the gospel. What lessons can we learn from the ways in which the primitive Church engaged the pagan culture of its day? Here is a challenging prescription for the 21st century Church.
