Solar Storms

When solar storms take place, charged particles are sent hurtling through space, and if they collide with Earth, large-scale geomagnetic storms can result. This book presents a range of views about the extent and type of damage that could result from solar storms. Some scientists and commentators assert that solar storms could wreak socioeconomic havoc on a global scale, cause nuclear meltdowns, affect global warming, and alter human health.
