Happy Birthday, Beth: The Deception

Elizabeth Benson continues her quest for a better life in Book II, The Deception. The year is 1966, and Beth, who will soon celebrate her 20th birthday, has just graduated from Dunbar Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies. Her determination to become a lawyer is still her uppermost priority and she accepts a position with a very prestigious law firm. It is here that she meets her soul mate and, despite her attempts to fight her feelings, falls deeply in love. However, decisions made earlier in her life threaten to destroy any hopes for the future. Even after Beth’s husband is killed in action in Vietnam, the deception must continue.
