A Grommet’s Tale

Billy Bradley and his best mate, Lionel Robinson, are the hottest grommets at Blue Tubes. Billy’s dad left three years ago and now there’s just Billy and his mum, Ruth, who says she sees broken people in the driftwood that washes up on the beach. Billy thinks she must be a bit berko so he puts a ‘Mum’s Not Allowed’ sign in his corner of the shed. Billy’s whole world turns 360 when a new girl comes to town. Billy plans to teach her to surf but Lucy Brady has other ideas. You will be drawn into the lives of the characters in the village of Burlington, with its cranky Mr Burly and his wife, Mrs Burly, who are out to, ‘Get that Billy Bradley if it’s the last thing we do!’ This is a story of heartbreak and love, not to mention, ‘The Best Tube Ride in the Whole World!
