Soaring: an Anthology

This collection of short stories, poems, and haiku reflects the many talents of some unique individuals who live in the high desert of Southern California in an area called the Antelope Valley. Soaring is an anthology that has something for everyone: poetry that ranges from heartfelt and joyous to deep and soul-searching; touching and imaginative short fiction, personal tales that will make you laugh and cry, and some stories that are definitely not for the squeamish. The authors are all members of the Antelope Valley Writers Association, a non-profit literary group. They are everyday people who love to write; among them are a medical doctor, a fireman, a cook, an executive assistant, an insurance salesman, several artists, two librarians, a minister, a teacher, and even a former Las Vegas showgirl - all with a gift for writing and a desire to share their stories with you. They are also dedicated to helping others, as proceeds from the sales of this book are donated to a local college scholarship fund.
