A man is shot with a nail gun after walking through the construction site of a new development. An older detective is assigned to the case but he is confronted with obstacles that prevent him from solving the case. The Chief of police brings in additional help from the State Police to solve the crime. Meanwhile, a murder takes place in the Gated Lake Community which is tied to the original assault.
