Rocky is having a rough day - have you ever had one of those? After a moment of frustration, Rocky learns to trust God and rest in His hands. As Rocky gives his troubles over to God, Rocky finds comfort, courage and strength. When God opens His hands, He reveals that Rocky has turned into the most beautiful diamond! The theme of this book is based on the Bible verse

Isaiah 41:10:

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Story Behind the Story

This book was written while waiting in the school pick-up line after a long and hard week with my children. How do you explain God’s love in the hard and sad situations of life to your children or even to ourselves?

Rocky in a Rough Day is a story about a hard day and the spiritual opportunity to leave it in God’s hands. What can God do with our hard days? He can gives us comfort, courage and strength!

And, our course, many thanks to my amazing business partner and illustrator, Kristin Powell, who made Rocky come to life in our second book published by Evergreen Press TX.
