John’s hope was when he married it would last a lifetime. This book is about his difficult experience with separation and divorce. Every divorce is unique, but many might read it and say that it resembles their own experiences. John is sharing his personal thoughts and reactions for a number of reasons: to encourage someone who is separated or divorced, to educate those who have no idea what divorce feels like, and to encourage those who are walking beside individuals going through separation and divorce. It is John’s desire that the prayers he wrote in desperation will be prayed by others who can’t find their own words.

Ultimately, the goal of this book is for the reader to see how John’s pain, resentment, and fears were miraculously changed to hope, faith, and love. The author’s expectation is that this book will be a help to many.
