Igor Stravinsky’s Sonata in F# minor for piano is one of his early works, written in 1903-04 and dedicated to Nicolas Richter. It was originally thought that all Stravinsky’s early compositions had been lost after he left Russia in 1914, and the composer referred to this work as ‘the lost - fortunately lost - piano sonata’. The piece is in four movements and has been edited by Eric Walter White.
