Last Friday the Carlton shop was swamped with Patti Smith fever. The legendary musician/artist was in town for the Melbourne International Arts Festival and stopped by Readings in the afternoon to talk about some of her favourite books and influences with Steven Sebring (Director of the documentary Patti Smith: Dream of Life - which premiered at the festival over the weekend) and writer Allison Croggon.
